The mission is to promote and protect these rights through well-documented research, advocacy, capacity building, and credible technical support.
About Us
Digital Future Cambodia (DFC) is a Cambodia‑based civil society organization dedicated to promoting and protecting digital rights, internet freedom, and safe, inclusive online participation. DFC was found in October 2025 and formally registered with the Ministry of Interior on 19 March 2026 to respond to Cambodia’s rapid digital transformation, DFC addresses growing challenges such as online surveillance, censorship, weak data protection, low digital literacy, and emerging risks linked to artificial intelligence. The organization adopts a rights‑based approach to technology governance, working to ensure that digital development in Cambodia advances in line with international human rights standards, particularly the rights to freedom of expression, privacy, and access to information.
DFC operates as a national hub combining legal and policy monitoring, locally grounded research, digital security and AI literacy education, and website incident support for organization. Through evidence‑based advocacy, capacity building, and multi‑stakeholder engagement, DFC strengthens the ability of civil society, journalists, youth, and marginalized communities to navigate digital spaces safely and confidently. By producing accessible resources in Khmer (www.digitalhub101.com) and fostering coordination among civil society actors, policymakers, and the private sector, DFC works to bridge the gap between technological innovation and human rights protection, contributing to a more open, secure, and rights‑respecting digital future for Cambodia.
